Similans diving trips
on the west coast of Thailand visit the stunning Similan islands approximately 35
miles off the coast in the Andaman sea. These 9 beautiful islands host the best diving in Thailand. Known for their white sand beaches, crystal blue waters and warm tropical nights the Similans are the jewels in the Andaman sea.
Diving in the Similan islands is by liveaboard leaving and returning to Phuket on Thailand's west coast. Catch an international flight to Phuket and the Similans are only a 6 hour overnight cruise away.
The topography and geology of the area changes greatly as you travel north through the Similans to Richelieu rock. Changing from the monolithic granite boulders that distinguish the Similan islands to the craggy limestone rocks that make up Richelieu rock.
Similan islands trips are generally done over a 4 day period to include all the best that the area has to offer.
On our Similan islands liveaboard we start and end in Phuket either travelling overnight on the first day to wake up in the morning at the 9 islands that make up the Similan islands or leaving from Thaplamu 1.5 hours north of Phuket. During the trip we gradually cruise north for 2 days ending at the northern most point of the trip at Richelieu rock before returning over the next 2 days travelling south diving along the way.
